Weigh-in videos must be recorded within 72 hours after you have been recommended for the Grant by your approved Service Provider.

Weight outs must be recorded within 24 hours prior to your deadline.

The recording can be done using any smart phone Video.

Recordings typically take less than 1 minute.

Review your video to make sure your weight can be easily confirmed, then save the file using your Certificate number as the file name and upload your video

You may need someone other than yourself to help record the videos. Each video recording must be continuous (no stops, starts or edits), and contain the following elements:

1. Self introduction by the applicant identifying your name, address, weight and the current date.
2. Video the front of your photo identification.
3. Self introduction by the person taking the weight. (If person is an approved Service Provider)
4. For each video recording (weigh in and weigh out), recite the Certificate ID, speaking clearly and slowly.

 
Video record the scale at 0.

Video record the candidate stepping onto the scale and then show the scale’s digital read-out moving to its resting spot thereby indicating the person’s weight.   

Continue clearly video taping the scale read-out of the person’s weight for at least 5 seconds.   

Video record the candidate stepping off the scale then show the scale returning to 0.

Each video should clearly demonstrate that the candidate was properly weighed and that their weight can be easily and visibly confirmed.

Videos that cannot be easily confirmed may not be accepted and you will not be able to re-do them as your deadline may have lapsed by the time we are able to view it.

How to Weigh-in/out - Digital Scales 

These instructions require the use of a video recording device like the ones used in smart phones. When weighing in or out, please carefully follow the instructions herein. We will contact you if there are any issues related to your video.

NOTE: All video recordings are held in strict confidence and are promptly deleted once your file is closed.

Video / show the weight tumblers being adjusted to the point where the balance arm is floating freely without touching the top or bottom of the indicator square.

Video the balance bar floating for 3-5 seconds and then pan back to show where the weight tumblers are situated on the balance bar indicating the person’s weight. (Hold for 5 seconds)

Video record the person stepping off the scale and show the balance bar dropping down.

Each video should clearly demonstrate that you were properly weighed and that your weight can be easily and visibly confirmed.

Videos that cannot be easily confirmed may not be accepted and if the video is for your weigh out, you may not be able to re-do it as your deadline may have lapsed by the time we are able to view it.
